The train Museum, Mulhouse

This is a wondrous museum to visit and deciding which photo to blip was difficult. However the snowplough caught the imagination Chasse Neige PO ZRI 1908. *At the time of the first mountain railway, clearing paths was first provided manually by agents of equipment called "menders of the way." In 1908 appears the plow with the first order of the Company Railway Paris Orleans at the American Locomotive Company (ALCO). The rotary snowplow presented at the Cité du Train is equipped with a steam boiler operating a turbine. This plow, powered coal and water, is driven by a steam locomotive. The rotary snow plow was designed to throw snow laterally relative to the track and far enough to avoid the phenomenon of snowdrifts near the line.
