Playing with fire

Still catching up on Blips - here's yesterday's

I found this tunnel / bridge near our house a few months ago, and thought it would make a great subject for a wire-wool burning exercise. So decided to try it out.

Went there at about 6 o'clock (pm) whilst there was still some light around, checked a few shutter speed/aperture combinations until I was happy with the picture, slightly underexposed (without any wire wool involved). Then set the remote on continuous, lit the wire wool and we were away - three attempts, all worked pretty well, but this was my favourite, as the sparks were bouncing nearer the camera. Next time I might try to cover the camera in sparks too - and shoot on the fisheye!

No passers by to worry about, no animals spooked, and no leaves set on fire - so pretty successful.
