a rare sight

These women are dressed in the traditional costume of Scheveningen. My grandmother, mother and aunt wore this type of clothing. Only a handful remaining women wear this costume. Just my luck to meet three of them on the street.

I had visited the Scheveningen Museum and I was on my way to the street where my mother was born when I met these women. A wonderful surprise and a serendipitous gift.
