My Hero!

Isambard Kingdom Brunel was a famous engineer. He built bridges, tunnels, railways, docks and ships.
The Clifton Suspension Bridge, the Thames Tunnel, Paddington Station were his.
Ships - The Great Eastern, The Great Western and S.S Great Britain were his.
Along with countless other great and noble projects.
He was voted 2nd Most Famous Briton in a BBC poll in 2002 - behind Churchill.
This statue is in Neyland, Near Milford Haven, where he built a new dock and a railway terminal.
Even the statue has a story - it was created by the Welsh sculptor Robert Thomas and unveiled in 1999 - but in 2010 it was stolen (no doubt for its scrap value). A replacement was cast from the original mould and unveiled in April 2013.
