This last day of mine

Linlithgo-go-gow

Another cracking late September day today. Lovely sunshine as a number of us from the Running Club headed to Linlithgow, 20 miles west of Edinburgh for the annual 10k run. This is the view of the Palace entrance arch from the Burgh Halls.

It was quite a tough race, with some fairly steady uphills and a couple of steep downhill sections, all in some pretty warm sunshine. Views across the Loch to the Palace were fantastic though, and the breeze off the water was welcome too!

After the traumas of my Achilles over the past fortnight, was delighted to get a new PB of 44:39. That's about 3 mins better than my previous best.

Was really good meeting up with fellow Porty Club runners, Michelle, Billy, Caroline, Debs and Michael, as well as seeing Rob and Paul from work. Also great to hear of fellow club runners, such as suze981 and Dod doing so well at Loch Ness.

So, all in all a very enjoyable early autumn racing afternoon!
