Dunure Beach

It had been a great day motoring around the villages of South Ayrshire, and it ended - as days like that often do - at the charming hamlet of Dunure, with its castle teetering on the edge of the cliffs. The ancient volcanic plug of Ailsa Crag sits on the horizon surrounded by the beginnings of a glorious russet sunset. I used my Nikon D300s with a wide angle lens set at 17mm.
