Harvest Days

We spend many of our weekends in an Indiana mmunity that was established about 20 years ago on an old dairy farm. The original farmhouse and barn still remain and the land is a beautiful mix of prairie, woods and wetlands. An architect has developed the property with an eye towards long views and respect for the land. So along with about 50 other families, we share about 160 acres, some of which are stewarded by a local farmer. I headed back to Chicago this morning, work calls, and passed this spent tractor as I left the farm.
