Pukeko

That's what the Kiwis over the ditch call it.

We call it the Purple Swamp Hen but I like Pukeko much better.

Not a good photo but this family was the cutest thing in my day. They were darting in and out of the garden there and then made their way down to the water.

Thanks to all the kind folk who pop in and look at my blips and leave such nice comments. Apologies for my lack of response. Still suffering computer fatigue a bit. I'm looking at some of your wonderful blips and leaving stars here and there. Just not commenting. Maybe it's not the computer... maybe I just don't feel like talking. Won't hurt me to shut up a bit.
