Poor old Puffer

Felt sorry for this old ship which is ashore for restoration but there is a shortage of money to do it.

These ships nicknamed Puffers were used to carry cargoes all around the West Coast of Scotland. It is steam driven and ,I believe, could carry 100 tons of cargo. The hull is flat bottomed to allow it to beach at high tide for unloading where there is no pier.

What a sad end for a hardworking old lady.
