Can't believe you dragged me through nettles and undergrowth for almost an hour for these. We could have been playing ball. Or sleeping. Maybe I'll just try one. Hmm, not bad actually.

I think this is probably the last of the blackberries for this year. Good job my freezer is stuffed full of them.

I chatted with a lady whilst we were out who told me that you shouldn't pick blackberries after the end of September. I wonder why? We've just tucked our way through a delicious crumble, and haven't been struck down by a thunderbolt yet.
