One life to live

Princess Muru

Our two chubby guinea pig girls are doing well. They are turning 5 years old in 15th December. Sweetie Muru posed me with her diadem.

* Both kids had exams today.

* It was as cold day as yesterday, tomorrow we should get a bit warmer air

* We have spent a reflector day in Finland today. It is hoped the day will raise awareness for traffic safety in the dark season. Committees investigating traffic accident researched some 20 pedestrian deaths that took place in the dark or at dusk in 2011. In 14 of these cases the person was not wearing a reflector.
--- Some of our reflectors are still in drawers, must remember to take them to use.

* Unlike its Nordic neighbours, Finland failed to make it to the top ten in a new global index measuring the wellbeing of older people in terms of their income, health, education and employment, and environment.Finland was in 15th position of 91. Other Nordic countries barring Denmark are way ahead of Finland when it comes to the welfare of the elderly as ranked in a new global index. UK was 13th. Factors bringing down Finland’s scores included low education of elderly people, and especially the small pensions of older women. Finnish older people were also found to have less healthy years to look forward to than those in better performing countries.
--- I wonder will things be any better when I'm old...
