Alpine Butterfly

One of my favorite knots! A midline loop that can be pulled from almost any direction, this climber's knot is easy to tie and has endless uses. Most recently, wrangling my desk jungle-plant into submission to prevent its far-reaching tentacle limbs from knocking people in the face as they walk by.
