mirror image

the racing pigeon that has lodged at school for the past 10 days has been finally caught. it was sheltering on a window ledge from the rain when the deed was done by opening the window behind and grabbing it. it is now residing in an animal sanctuary. the kids are distraught as they had got into the habit of nicking bread from lunch and feeding it - they had even given it a name and it was far more interesting than what i was teaching them!
