Life through the lens...

Looking Back

Just back from Bolton Abbey village hall, where we had the walking clubs A.G.M.
followed by Archives and afternoon tea.
(A.G.M. over as quickly as possible!!)

What we found so interesting , was looking at the old photos, some dating back to 1932.
In the collage you can see some of our present members, who still come out walking with us most Sundays at the grand old age of 85!

I took shots of some of the photos, which you can see in the collage.
Many were of holidays taken in the Alps, Dolomites, and other mountainous regions.
The most poignant were of those men dressed in their uniforms, taken during the second World War. ( some who never returned.)

It is lovely listening to their stories of the past.
Also nice to be one of the younger members!
I hope we are as fit when we are their age, both in mind and body!

Now looking forward to tomorrow's walk which starts at Riddlesden near Keighley.
The weather is supposed to be fine too, and I know at least two of the 85 year olds will be there with us!

( I know that Yugoslavia was spelt wrong! )
