Lovely light

It was a warm and sunny day today so we went into Bath and had a really great time.

We started off by going round the city centre, popping into a few shops and enjoying the street entertainers (the tightrope-walking violin player was particularly good) but we soon got bored and went for a wander round some of the alleys and back streets.

We had a bite to eat in the Bath Brew House, which only opened on Monday. It was previously the Metropolitan and was, apparently, a bit of a dive. It was an excellent choice as the vintage décor very stylish, the food was superbly tasty and well-presented, and the welcome was easily the best we've ever experienced; really friendly and it felt absolutely genuine. The pub has its own micro-brewery and there were some real ale drinkers in there who looked pretty satisfied with life. A passing Rastafarian gentleman wandered in, no doubt seduced by the music, and danced his way through to the back of the building. Five minutes later he left again, accompanied to the door by a member of staff, and they were both smiling and chatting as they went. I think he intends to go there again - and so do we!

Hubby spotted a Harley to go and admire, and I ... well, I hardly dare admit it, I bought some new Christmas decorations!
*hangs head in shame*
Note to self: it's October. Christmas is in December.
