Autumn Feast

This evening, as part of this year's Cowalfest , the chef and local food enthusiast Alison Sykora organised what she called an "Autumn Feast" at the wonderful Ardkinglas House at the top of Loch Fyne.

Amongst the foraged or local food were such delicacies as oat groat risotto , buttered wild cabbage with wild garlic, seaweed and oak smoked mussels (prepared on a bonfire this afternoon ) and these venison meatballs served with nettle pasta.

The imagination & passion involved underlines a simple truth - great , healthy and very tasty food is all around us in Scotland and particularly here in Argyll.
