European Award Winners

Apologies for the quality of this image but I couldn't resist it. It's actually a photograph of a live-stream feed to our home PC.

Anyway, our daughter Danielle is a member of the England team who were competing at this weekend's European Majorette's (Baton Twirling) Championships in Lillehammer, Norway.

Here she is receiving a bronze award along with partner Casey in their age group of the so-called Accessories Duet category. Danielle also gained bronze in her Accessories Solo, and was a member of the teams gaining silver and gold. England also gained gold, silver and bronze in other categories. A great achievement and an improvement over previous years in this competition. For interest, the top three teams winning the most awards were the Czech Republic, Croatia and Holland.

Such a proud Dad.

A bonus result in the football too with my team West Ham beating the Spurs at White Hart Lane 3-0. The first time since 1999.
