Heading Home

Our last day in Italy started at 6.30 AM with the loudest alarm call imaginable when a lightning bolt struck very close by with a huge bang accompanied by a torrential downpour. Apparently there had been thunder and lightning all night which I had managed to sleep through.

Fortunately the rain stopped in time for us to load the car and say goodbye to our wonderful hosts Jimmy and Angela McCracken before heading to Pisa airport passing through a couple of heavy showers en-route. The holiday seemed truly over as we all went our separate ways with everyone taking home many hundreds of images to sort and process plus many happy memories.
