Back to Hamilton ice rink today for a come and try session for beginner curlers. Since only a few people had responded to the adverts, rather than call on the services of his usual coaches, Jim asked me to give him a hand (after last week's coaching by top class players, I'm now an expert!!).

However more than 20 people turned up for the event including some of his usual coaches who brought friends along, so my services weren't really needed.

I think the following is true - Eire does not have many suitable ice rinks, nor a great many players, but they have quite a few members who live/work in Scotland and they had two teams at Hamilton today.
