The Messy Room

We've lived in Faversham for almost a year now and I'm slowly getting used to a landscape without hills and sweepin' vistas*. The marshes remind me of my favourite childhood haunts on the Lune estuary and they're very handily placed to our new home for morning or evening walks.

This walk is on Nagden Marshes, just past the collection of houses at Nagden, looking north to the sea wall (flood defences) and, in the far left distance, the Isle of Sheppey. I've got my back to Faversham Creek here and a small hawthorn tree growing alongside the Creek casts its shadow onto a patch of wild carrot.

*'In' joke for Mrs miketoons.
