"Out In The Scrub"...

...We had a few things to attend to today, like trying to get my computer back and running after technical faults effected its performance, and apparently many others, and possibly the operator here (me) effecting it even more, but thankfully, I'm at least able to put on a blip or hopefully, 2 others to catch up...

... And oh, we do miss our little Grand daughters..Amber wrote us the most beautiful letter..what a sweet girl......yes, our little Models of the day, have returned back home to Queensland, on Saturday, and gosh, the house is so quiet..not that they were noisy, just fun-loving, and lots of giggles from a 15yr old and a 7yr old..

...Yes, we do miss them so..and we found lots of lovely little notes all over the house, and on the fridge, in appreciation of their fun-stay they had with us... even though young Teigan ended up in hospital...she won't forget that episode, and the doctors and nurses attending her - said the same of her when she graciously thanked them for looking after her - without even being prompted to do so..they were so surprised at being thanked they said...we hope Teigan can return soon, and Amber wishes she could as well, but she may try to get some work during the Christmas holidays...I don't think she'll have any trouble with that...

...They had a good trip back home, catching 2 planes, and arriving with all their gear as well, into a hotter climate than the 34 deg.C they flew away from here on Saturday..I had a good pic of them walking toward the plane - for Saturday's blip but I couldn't get that on here unfortunately...

... And later on, we went for a short drive out along the river today - such a beautiful day today again, and a good day for checking out the birds there as they're all very busy at the moment...

...And so are the Kookaburras - they were, as well, checking out the other little birds' nests and I almost captured a feisty fight amongst the little blue-faced minors and this Kookaburra when he attempted to raid their nest..and like all good parents they protected their young - the best they could..and off this one flew and sat surveying the area once again, for another attempt at prey...

...This one had a mate nearby, and so they flew here and there, and finally flew away to leave the little minors in peace..and so - I guess this is Life in the raw really -amongst the birdlife of the day...
