One man's trash...

The whole of Bamberg seems to have been having some kind of "joint clearout" over the past few weeks. One neighbourhood at a time, big piles of rubbish have been forming outside houses so that other residents can go around and take whatever they like from the piles. Over the past few weeks I have managed to get two mirrors, a large rug, a bike basket, plates, a clothes airer and today I found this umbrella, discarded by a shop. I really like this way of "upcycling". It's very environmentally friendly and efficient and it's very helpful for students like myself who are only here for a year and therefore don't want to spend much money on things.
