Visit to Point Arena Lighthouse

We are staying in northern California, about 110 miles north of San Francisco. Today we climbed the lighthouse on the piece of California shoreline that is closest to Hawaii....the closest we will get this year!!!

From the top of the lighthouse we could see for miles up and down the coast, and we were above a flock of pelicans that flew by. The photo opportunities were wonderful, but I had to go with this little sweetheart who posed perfectly in front of the lighthouse for me!!

So here we have a white-crowned sparrow with the Point Arena Lighthouse and the Pacific Ocean for a back drop.
