At least, I think that's how one might describe this procession of naval vessels down the Firth of Clyde this grey morning, on their way, I believe, to an exercise off the West coast. Later, I saw a couple of subs as well (not together; I don't think subs do that kind of thing). I have no idea why the right-hand ship is sailing up-river - perhaps it was late to the party ...

I feel that the whole grey menace of this subject is in complete contrast to yesterday's glowing leaves. I shall never get used to living here.
