Delhi - day two

It has been far more relaxed. I'm not sure whether that has been because of the gentler places we've visited or because we had a good night's sleep.

We started with Qutub Minar ( an amazing tower in a marvellous archaeological site) and then went on to the Lodhi Gardens - serene , beautiful and with lots of wonderful birds. India has 750 different varieties and we have a keen RSPB worker who knows his stuff. There were magical butterflies - Monarchs and a super black swallowtails variety which I have yet to Google. But the youngest member of our group got a superb photo and she's going to send it me. (Future Blipper?)

Lunch at the Chicken Inn. Name unpromising but Sanjesh our guide is a self confessed foodie and it was superb (and cheap).

The National Museum was wonderful. Treasures and so well presented. Then to where Ghandi was assassinated.

And finally to Humayun's Tomb. (Today's blip). It was stunning. Everyone wanted photos. This hilarious family group had taken some assembling as the kids kept running off. But the father and I snapped when they were in place. (And I took one for him on his camera with the family all together)

And we have a 4 am wake up call! Hard life - if you don't weaken. But what a wonderful experience!
