Chippendale

While he may not have the universal recognition of the cartoon chipmunks named after him, Thomas Chippendale is a lauded figure in Otley, his birthplace, and amongst furniture and design enthusiasts.

There is nothing wooden about this fine statue, a bronze by Graham Ibbeson, which stands near the centre of the town.
