Ducks out of water

In the Philippines for a workshop with various colleagues from across the region. These were caged birds at a petrol station.

Some gems today:

During an ice breaking game where we all had to mimic something we enjoyed doing, someone there representing the local government said what she enjoyed most of all was having sex. Awkward.

When I asked whether the Vietnamese community guys, who have never been to Ho Chi Minh city let alone an overly extravagant meeting venue in the Philippines, were doing ok, my colleague said 'indigenous people are very timid'. Political correctness an alien concept.

There were other things worth ranting about, including excessive use of air con (16 degrees is not acceptable) but I'll start to sound like a broken record on that one soon.
