Collapsing new buildings

The blip shows the entrance area of Pinakothek der Moderne, an arts gallery for contemporary art of the 20th and 21st century (my favourite). The building was opened in 2002 - and had to be shut down for this summer due to major constructional defects. Whoever thought there could not be a thing like flub in German engineering or construction has been proofen wrong once again. The building hiding behing the pillars and the trees is Alte Pinakothek, which contains art from the Middle Ages to the early 18th century.

Einstürzende Neubauten is also a German industrial band.

But this Maximo Park song is more suitable for today's blip.
