Treme

Today I visited The Cameron Museum in Wilmington. They have two wonderful special exhibits running. This picture shows some of the incredible Indian costumes used in the HBO drama, Treme, which depicts post hurricane Katerina New Orleans. These 8 feet tall costumes were all hand made and hand beaded, an incredible amount of work. I have been to this exhibit 6 times and I discover new things each time. The costume designer is from Wilmington, hence, our luck in having the exhibit here.
The other artist, Diane Landry, is a wonderful installation artist from Quebec City. Next visit to the Cameron I'll post some of her incredible work.
