Cranberry Jelly's a mug's game.

It starts off all lovely, and very exciting ... all buxom berries and sprigs of rosemary and half a large bottle of white wine (other half for the cook).

But the process very quickly disintegrates into a mess of bright red splash everywhere and a bucket of pulp and spill all over the place and you're lucky if you end up with a couple of jars.

And then you have a massive clean up for afters!

Come Thanksgiving, you scoop a wee bit of jelly onto your roast fowl and

... all is forgiven
