Hoovering hazelnuts

Today there are patches of dust like this all over the countryside around the village, as the massive hoovering machines suck the nuts from the bushes. Oh dear, I've just thought about all the insects that must be crushed in the process :-(

(the tower you can see in the middle is nothing to do with the hoover, it's a windmill to bring water up from the underground stream.)
