Fishing

For ages, it was said that a captain spend too much money on food for his crew if his crew wasn't seen fishing. Even without a fishing crew I can tell you that, until decades ago, the captain and owners never spent enough money on decent food. Nowadays we have all the variation in food eastern and western nationalities can dream of. It is hard to say when this took place, but I can assure you that retired crewmembers even as almost retired crews, won't have a hard time to bring these days back in their memory. Our bosun on this picture, with almost 40 years of sea service, can tell you for sure. But he is fishing because oriental nationalities love fish. They eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner, preferably every day. The catch of today was 46 within half an hour, enough for a full dinner table.
