Had the afternoon off so I was able to spend some time cooking. The plate that the eggplant is on was given to me by a really nice neighbor. They have 3 girls and the oldest has a pet sitting business, she has been Myles primary caregiver when we are away (the cats too)since we adopted him. The mom will often send plates of food to us when she has cooked large amounts and she sent this one with cookies on it - it says "In order to enjoy life, you have to take a big bite". I am trying hard to live that one. Sumner adhered to the motto "You only live once" and she lived it to the fullest, so sounds like a good thing to go forward taking big bites.
