Autumn Asters in the Fairy Garden...

Tis the season of cutting back, cleaning out, and very little color left in the garden. In the area where I am cultivating plants for a fairy garden I was doing a heavy clean up today all the while swooning over the autumn asters growing in wild abundance while everything around it has pretty much died back, save the rosemary, lavender, mint and other herbs that lack color. These beautiful light purple delicate flowers cascaded over and down the side of the raised planter where soon I will be planting hundreds of tiny spring bulbs, but for now, the asters are a wonder and a delight...
