Fishing Season

Every fall, on the small creeks that empty into the harbor that empty into the sound that empty into the ocean, men with their fishing poles buy a fishing license and go fishing. It is an annual event and rite of passage. During fishing season the two little creeks on the Blaine water front hosts many men and yes, women who stand along the shore of Dakota Creek and California Creek in their hip boots to catch a silver salmon. Some days at high tide the creek will be lined with fishermen.
Today a lone fisherman stood near the California Creek Bridge so I stopped and took a few pictures. Men are so happy during fishing season.
