Monumentally Wet

Today was the last day of the trade show, so I am finished the work part of the trip. This evening I went into the old centre of Dresden, in the pouring rain, to find a good dinner. I'm sick of a diet of conference and hotel food! The monumental architecture of the old square glistened beautifully in the rain, and although I didn't fancy sticking around to examine it too closely I did stop to snap the museum.

My mission was a success. I had Bruschetta to start, followed by a nice 300g Sirloin with mushrooms, beans&bacon, french fries and garlic dip. This was all washed down with a couple of litres of good local dark beer. Delicious - a far cry from the soggy schnitzel and cabbage mediocrity of much of the rest of the week!
