The oyster man

Has to be viewed LARGE to see the textures

Took the group to the Solway firth today to shoot sand and cloud patterns - like this. Walked out to the oyster beds at low tide, and met Wilf, who owns and tends the oysters there. He cut a couple open (even had lemon juice with him!) and let me try them. The best oysters I've tasted in ages. Mind you - I don't think I've ever had them so fresh! So often they taste just like salty slime, these tasted of the freshness of a sea breeze. Will have to get some off him!

I loved the weatherbeaten texture of his skin and thought it best in black and white, whilst retaining the delicate pearlescent tones of the oyster.
