Anselerbeek

Every time I go to the center , I have to drive through the tunnel in "de Bril " (The Glasses). Just before the tunnel right a stream meanders through the landscape . Some cows grazing and still enjoy the autumn before they finally have to go to the stable for the winter.

The stream what I'm talking about is the Anselerbeek or Anselderbeek and so there are a few distortions used .

The actual Anselderbeek produced from the Dutch border by the confluence of the Crombacherbeek , Bleijerheiderbeek and Amstel Bach . In the valley of the Bleijerheiderbeek beautiful hanging bogs , are the Pesch Beemden .
The name Anselderbeek will only apply from the crossing of the German- Dutch border. There are many other names for this stream . The Annales Rodensis , the monastery from the 12th century chronicle of the current Rolduc , mentioned that in 1131 provost Fredricus had built a mill " superius Eigelsowen , super Anstel " (above Eygelshoven , so the Anstel ) . The original name is Ansel . Nowadays many names such as Ansel , there shall Anstel , Anselerbeek , Anselderbeek , Anstelerbeek . Most references to the river in other toponyms go for Anstel . Think of the Lords of Anstel , which in ancient times inhabited castle Erenstein . In addition, the monastery is located in Kerkrade "Heren Anstel" either "het Stift" , the nursing High Anstel , Restaurant Anstelvallei and the various street names like High Anstel , Boerenanstelerweg , Kloosteranstelerweg and Boerenanstelerpad .
