Autumn walk

We've got into the habit of calling this lovely walk along the old road from Puck's Glen to Benmore Gardens "The Pensioners' Mile" - which really belies its beauty, especially in the last sun on a lovely afternoon. It is, however, a mile from one end to the other, so if you want a quick/sheltered/undemanding walk in the country this one gives you two miles.

On a day which saw us do a great deal of house-tidying on top of the annual flu jab and a very late night last night, this leaf-strewn mile suited us just fine, thank you ...
