Iris en Ruben

Today was the opening of an exhibition by photographer Iris Vetter and designer Ruben Abels in the KEK gallery in Epe. Iris and Ruben did a participation project in Kolomna, Russia because of the Netherlands-Russia year.
Their work, visual interviews with a combination of photography and illustration, was displayed at a literature festival there.
At this event about the written word they went looking for the art oral storytelling. They asked people to tell about their special places, to find out what's really worthwhile and interesting in Kolomna. To get a clearer picture of the town and look beyond the obvious places and touristic highlights.
During this exhibition period they will do a similar project here, using visual interviews to create another view at Epe as well. This new work will be shown at the closing of the exhibition, 23rd november.
