Blue Thunder

I went back over to the Scottish Boat Show for a short time today. The weather changed and by the afternoon it got a bit overcast.

I decided to focus on the helicopter that was giving short rides around the Inverkip area.

I liked this view looking towards Bankfoot as the helicopter comes into land. It looks like a scene from the film Blue Thunder, with helicopters patrolling over a burnt out landscape.

This piece of land has been devastated by a disease that affects the Larch trees. Around 12 hectares of larch on the hill above Bankfoot has been cleared and is now a blot on the landscape.
