Macro Man

It's been a wet day here in Cardiff. After my recent exploits at trying to produce reasonable macro images I decided to experiment with various F stops with and without flash.

Macro man has been my assistant all afternoon. With my 105mm macro lens the best images so far are at F22 without flash. Note the ruler to measure the Depth of field ( the low tech approach).

For an approximate distance of half a meter the depth of field was 6mm at F3.2 to 68mm at F36.
