Mme Alfred Carriere...

This lovely rose is at my front door. It is a very old rose, but is very strong, not a lot of thorns and is very disease resistant. It flowers throughout the summer.It has a very strong glorious perfume and is closely related to the roses used to produce rose oil. Playing on google I found this useless info- it takes 50kg of rose petals to produce 30mls of rose oil !!!!!so there you are. Very windy with heavy showers- typical nor'west storm....
