Apple harvest, bottled

A weekend of all things apple is over. I feel better educated, and I've got this bottle of juice which was gently pastuerised behind me as I delivered my recipe demo's yesterday.

The process consisted of cutting, then mashing apples in a mangle. The pulp was then put through a manual press. When the sweet amber juice had been bottled, it was immersed in a water bath for 20 mins. It looks a litttle like whiskey, doesn't it?
