October Rose

I'm definitely a fall person. I love the palette of colors in autumn - deep reds, bright gold, burnt umber, soft yellows, often with a background of vibrant green. There are wonderful piles of leaves on sidewalks, great for kicking (or in my case wheeling through) - and I love the sound of leaves shifting and settling, whooshing and crunching -- and that earthy smell of foliage decomposing, giving back to the earth what it used up in such a short life.
