A Brief Reprieve

My impending midterms are forcing me to spend copious amounts of time inside. Sitting still at my desk, pen in hand, knowledge filtering into my mind.

To keep from going completely batty, I wandered outside a few times. On my lunch break I went for a run, and I bit later I spent a couple minutes in the courtyard. Looks as though the building managers have removed all the patio furniture for the season, so I perched on the edge of a raised flower bed.

I've been drinking lots of water to help get rid of this nasty cold. It's not working so far. My sinuses may explode.
