Vulpine Walkway?

Only took about a dozen photos today but it seemed like all of them were Blip-worthy!

Here we have a series of ramps and platforms that bypass a watery section of the Water of Leith where the riverbank has been destroyed by the flood prevention works. But what for? I assume it is to allow foxes to travel up and down the river without getting their paws wet but am open to suggestions...
