Mini-discs were used for a short period in radio broadcasting to record and archive radio programmes. It is one of the audio formats disintegrating the fastest, and after 10 years some of the mini-discs are not viable any more, and the audio is lost. As archivists we are trying to concentrate on these formats in our backlogs to save it before it becomes obsolete.
