Smokers outside the Hospital Doors

To quote The Editors hit "The saddest thing that I ever saw, was smokers outside the hospital doors"

So this afternoon was eventful. Unfortunately having been diagnosed with both Dengue and Glandular fever around three weeks ago our poor suffering flat mate Jen was finally told to go to A&E due to the fact she was going downhill instead of up!
I left workie and spent the rest of the day at th hospital with Jen. While she was being seen by the hunkiest doctor I've ever seen ( lucky bint) I sat out in the hospital gardens enjoying the sun!
Despite the fact that these No Smoking signs are placed on every available surface around the hospital
Grounds people were still scuttling off into these gardens to light up!
I couldn't help but feel annoyed at this, surely a rule is there for a reason and should be adhered to! I kept thinking also that do these law breakers not feel some form of remorse when they spark up a flame and cheat death in front of a building full of people trying to dodge it?! Something's not right here !

Rant over, and thankfully we have Miss Kinsella back home minus the Dengue fever however she has picked up gastroenteritis along the way too! Poor thing!
