That damned moss is taking over the river!

Walking into town today, I noticed that the moss I photographed last week has actually formed a carpet across the section of the river close to my home. It does not look like the lush green lawn I'd envisioned, unfortunately! Probably due, at least a bit, to the fact that certain elements of the community cannot tell the difference between a river and a rubbish bin!

Also in this photo is one of the many house boats that are on the river (mostly down the canal section close to my work). As much as I love the river, I really wouldn't fancy the house boat lifestyle - rather too much like roughing it I think!
